Last week I got the pleasure of meeting Fiona Wade.

Fiona and I happen to have a lot of people in common, but somehow our paths never crossed over the last 4 years I have been in Vancouver.

After a couple of instagram comments, emails and such, we finally met for coffee last Thursday and she came to the studio on Saturday.

And for the occasion we tried a bunch of new light styles (new for me anyway). As many of you know, I usually photograph my models using natural light, and find it very comfortable to work with.

But comfortable is rarely a good idea when it comes to creative fields so I decided to mix it up a little bit.

For those of you who think that they can’t take good photos because they don’t have the proper equipment, or enough money to buy cool lights, I just want to clarify that, on this pic, Fiona is lit by a couple of lights that add up to about 23$… (To buy them, not to rent!)

So I don’t wanna hear that excuse again, ever!

Though, finding a great model is priceless, I give you that…

More details about this very soon.

It doesn’t matter which kind of shoot I am doing, I always try to take a portrait before I leave.

My last video shoot with Tita from Cupcake Du Jour was no exception and I grabbed 5 shots before running out the door.  This is one of the 5…

What do you think?

If you want to shoot with me, you know what to do…

I recently discovered that horses love Canon cameras.

I tried with a Nikon, they didn’t seem to care as much. Go figure…

Nude Fine Art Series in Vancouver… Liz.

Last week when I celebrated the 1000 followers on this blog, I used a photo of my model Liz.

But today, I looked at it again and I kinda felt that I should put it here one more time for you all, without the big logo on the left of the photo this time.

Liz has such a bad-ass haircut (her own words) on that photo, I really like it.

So here she is.
