Last month while looking at the guys skateboarding at Venice beach, I noticed this little dude, who appeared to be around 8 years old, and who was shredding like a boss. Major respect…
And this morning, after doing some research, I realized that this fellow, who’s name is Asher Bradshaw apparently drops 540’s on a regular basis, can also be seen riding with Shaun White. Yes, THAT Shaun White….
That explains a lot.
Asher has been skating for only 3 years (still 40% of his life so far…) so I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us for the next 20 years…
A couple of days ago, I was in Venice Beach. There, you can’t look anywhere without finding something cool to photograph.
The skate park was pretty crowded, but at some point most people got out of my frame except for that rad skateboarding girl.
I don’t know who she is, but I’m assuming that she is a regular, so if you live around Venice and eventually go to the park and see her, feel free to let her know she is on my blog now, looking cool… ;o)
I’m heading out to Los Angeles tomorrow, time to trade the ski pants and jacket for a light shirt and shorts. I shot this photo yesterday with my trusty iPhone on Cypress Mountain and if all goes well, I should have some beach photos pretty soon. Fun week…
Here is one more reason why I love Vancouver so very much.
You get to start your day at home or at the studio, work for 5 or 6 hours, then drive 25 minutes and end up in Cypress for a evening ski session.
Yesterday I skied at night for the first time and it was just mind blowing. This picture was taken around 4.30 pm so it’s still daylight (sort of…), but a few minutes later we were skiing in the dark, with only the lights of the Cypress ski complex and the big city of Vancouver all lit up down in the Valley.
