A few days ago, my friend Jess stopped by the studio.
On top of being a super cool model, Jess is an extremely talented make-up artist and a fierce business woman. You should definitely check her out and keep her in mind next time you are in need of a MUA in or around Vancouver.
I first photographed Jess 2 years ago for the Authenticity Portraits, and this time she came back for something a little bit different. I will tell you more as soon as possible. ;o)

This week, as you’ve seen below, Kelly stopped by for EKTA. Her face was cropped for those photos, but this is what she actually looks like.

This morning, the lovely Tita (Cupcake du Jour) and I met for another video shoot.
Some of you might remember her from the first video we did together, as an homage to all the single ladies out there.
That one will most definitely be very different and quite powerful. I’ll tell you more about it very soon, but in the mean time, here is a behind the scenes of Tita holding my camera, while filming herself.
I figured, she is doing most of the work, by singing, dancing and all, might as well ask her to shoot too. That way I can just sit, relax and snap a photo with my trusty iPhone…

Saturday, I’ve had the great pleasure to meet actress Keegan Connor Tracy.
She was in need of new headshots and stopped by my studio for an hour.
I knew her from TV shows such as “Supernatural”,“The 4400”, “Eureka” or “Battlestar Galactica”, and she now plays in a show called “Once upon a time”.
More photos from her shoot in the days to come, but in the mean time be sure to tune in every Sunday nights (season premiere on Sept 30th) at 8pm on ABC and check her out.

Today we meet the fabulous Kelly Trerise, business woman, make-up artist, model, and traveler extraordinaire. When she’s not hanging out with Snoop Dog, she is all over the world beautifying women with her crazy make-up skills.

As I took some time off last week, I have been away from my computer.
It felt good to take a break and enjoy my family and friends without thinking about work at all. But it also feels good to be back and share some of my new stuff with you all.

My family and I spent the last 3 days off the grid (literally) and got to really appreciate how amazingly beautiful British Columbia is.

I once heard Vincent Laforet say that he never throws away photographs. No matter how many he took during a shoot. Good or bad being such a subjective concept. You never know when you’re gonna need a blurry photo or a picture with an odd crop where your model has one eye shut. (that might be pushing it, but you get the drift)
Well, like Vincent, I never throw away any photo I take, which results in a certain amount of hard drives (plus the equivalent in backup of course).
But the good thing is that I shoot so many photos that I eventually forget about some of them. And when I decide to go through some of my old shoots every now and then I discover some “outtakes” that I still really like but that didn’t make the cut.
As a proof, here are 2 photos of my friend Nikkey on which I didn’t even stop the first around.
P.S: Can you see the crack on that lens!? It actually still shoots quite well.
