2 weeks ago, Lizbit stopped by the studio and mentioned that she would love to create a portrait with some kind of Game of Thrones feel to it.

I think she nailed the “royal” look, the hair, and the HBO nudity as well.

For those of you who wonder what it is I do when I’m in Edmonton.

One of my assignments was to take portraits of shops and restaurants owners on 124th street. Which is the neighborhood where all the cool kids go.

All of these are done with natural light and I usually have between 30 seconds and 5 minutes to make them happen. So when you are hired to do that, you better know what you’re doing, because you can’t spend too much time setting up your camera.

But again, as Chase Jarvis often says, knowing what you’re doing is a prerequisite to this job. It’s expected of you when you get through the door.
