Do you guys remember the photo of Tita I posted here on October 3rd?
Well, looks like Ricardo Romero, one of Tita’s fans (there are millions out there) used his crazy designing skills to pimp it a little.
It’s not the first time I have someone use one of my photos to create artwork, and I feel honored every time. But I gotta admit that this one really blew me away when I saw it this morning.
Cool, don’t you think?

For those of you who wonder how I obtain such stable footage when I shoot videos, here is my big secret:
Always sit on a 5000$ chair with one leg crossed…
Here is a behind the scenes of the behind the scenes… Am I blowing your mind right now or what!?

What do you do when you ran 10km from home, your head and legs hurt and you still have 10km to go…?
You snap a photo and you keep running.

Some of my friends still wonder what I exactly do when I go to Edmonton for a few weeks.
I can’t share the photos of all my projects yet, because it’s not cool to display the images before my clients get to actually use them. But here is one from the shoot I did with Regency Developments last November.
During my last trip there, I actually got the chance to shoot several projects at once, which allowed me to meet and photograph people from very different backgrounds with amazing stories.
From aboriginal people to young entrepreneurs and also formerly and currently homeless men and women.
I got to shoot a lot of amazing portraits, and can’t wait to share them with you all.
More to come very soon.

During one of my trips to Edmonton, I was asked to include an Oilers jersey in one of my photos.
The only “problem” was that I had no models to wear the jersey that day.
So I had to figure out a way to do a self portrait with a little style.
I put my camera on a very reflective glass table, grabbed my remote, looked aloof, and shot the photo with a 2 second timer. (enough time to put the remote in my pocket).
Voilà!!!
I know some of my friends, Senators and Canucks fans who are not gonna like that photo.
Thanks Gil for the Jersey…

Guess what…?
The nice people of “The Dignified Devil” recently featured my “Nude Fine-Art Series” on their website.
And for the occasion they asked me a few questions about what I do, how and why I do it…
If you wanna know a bit more about me and my work, you should definitely check it out.

Those of you who know me, already know how big of a Chase Jarvis fan I am.
I have posted many times about his commercial photo/video work of course, but mostly about his great behind the scenes.
Chase Jarvis and his team were the first ones in the business to actually make full on videos about their work. Giving us tips and tricks to improve our own photography. If you want to know what I’m talking about, you should visit the ChaseJarvis.com video page.
Anyway, on top of all that, Chase also do what he calls CJ Live, which consists of a 90 minute broadcast from his Seattle studio every month or so.
A different guest is present every time, and so far we’ve seen Tim Ferriss, Sir Mix a Lot, Mike Horn, Vincent Laforet, Jasmine Star, Jeremy Cowart, Zack Arias, We Are Augustines and Jason Sutherland to name a few. They talk about photography, music, business and all sort of awesome stuff.
Last week, Chase announced that for his next episode of CJ Live, he would invite 25 people to come to his Seattle studio. I immediately entered the contest and got chosen to be part of the audience.
What a treat!
So I spent last Wednesday, in Seattle, in “the garage” as the studio is called. For this episode, Chryde, a french music video director and producer was invited with the amazing Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.
If you’re not familiar with their work, you should know that Chryde founded what filmmakers, photographers and the music industry agree is “the most impressive underground music project to hit the web in the last decade”, La Blogotheque…featuring : The Takeway Shows (“Concerts à emporter” in French) and Pocket Parties (“Soirees de Poche”).
He is the man responsible for this video of Beirut. (Which was actually shot in the street where I used to work, in Paris. But that’s another story)
And of course, Maklemore and Ryan Lewis are two amazing musicians, who recently did this song called “Wings”. If you don’t know what I’m talking about you should definitely check it out.
Anyway, the 25 lucky ones got to spend an amazing day at the studio, after the interviews, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performed a bunch of their songs for us and it was very very cool to be there. The rest of the day got spent chilling with Chase, the crew, and of course, Macklemore, Ryan Lewis and Chryde.
You can check the video of this episode of Chase Jarvis Live here or here.
Of course, we were aloud to snap some photos so I brought back a few souvenirs for you guys. These are photos of the studio, the CJ Team and guests during the show.
I will also put some photos of Maklemore’s performance in my next post of course.
